Royal Oaks is a loving and welcoming traditional United Methodist congregation. After your first visit, you will feel like a part of the family.
What to Expect
Royal Oaks UMC provides a traditional worship experience where you will hear God’s message through scripture, sermon, and song. We are a come as you are church with people dress casually in shorts and a t-shirt while others wear their Sunday best. You will find the congregation reflecting a wide range of social, economic, political, and religious perspectives. We strive to be diverse yet unified in our worship of our one God. You will experience warm and gracious hospitality from everyone.
Worship
We offer the worship service every Sunday at 10:30am. Currently Sunday School classes are offered for youth, and adults from 9:30-10:15am every Sunday as well. If you have little ones or young children, they will be welcomed with open arms and lots of love. We will have children’s Sunday School and daycare for them, as well, at the same time.
Music
Music is a special part of worship for Royal Oaks United Methodist Church. Each Sunday the choir delivers God’s message through an anthem to start the service and performs both an Easter and Christmas Cantata. We take pride is singing praise through traditional hymns.
Sermon
Each service includes a thoughtful and engaging sermon by our pastor. He either preaches using the lectionary or sermons based on the particular needs of the congregation or community. During the Sunday morning worship service at 10:30 am we utilize music, scripture, prayer, and different types of media to provide a holistic worship experience.
Communion
Royal Oaks celebrates communion on the first Sunday of every month. We practice an open table so all are invited to share at the Lord’s Table.
Children’s Ministry
If there are young children in service, they are invited to the front of the church to hear a message specifically for them. This is a time where the pastor explains to the children the scripture for that day in a way they can understand. If they are too young to sit through the sermon, they are invited to enjoy our nursery.
