Paul Strahan – Pastor
Paul has been serving as the pastor of the Royal Oaks United Methodist Church community in Kannapolis, North Carolina since July 2012. He is in the process of completing his theological studies at Hood Theological Seminary and is looking forward to graduating soon. Under Paul’s guidance Royal Oaks UMC is continuing the tradition of serving and demonstrating the love of Christ. Paul believes as we continue our personal walk with Jesus, each of us grows in our relationship with God and discovers more and more of who God is and who God wants us to be. Paul is married to his beautiful wife, Lisa, and has 4 wonderful children. In his spare time he enjoys fishing, boating, camping, watching baseball and football, and spending time his family.
Donald Allman – Choir
Donald has been the choir director at Royal Oaks UMC for 17 plus years. He enjoys all kinds of music but especially Southern Gospel. Under Donald’s leadership the choir sings a variety of music from hymns to contemporary to gospel. Each year Donald leads the choir in a Christmas and Easter cantata.
Kathy Allman – Piano
Kathy is a retired teacher who has shared piano duties for about 15 years. She loves music whether planning, singing, working with the bell choir, or simply listening to music. She fondly remembers being able to help in selecting the baby grand piano that adds so beautifully to our music ministry.
Joyce Lemmond – Piano
Joyce is one of the pianist at Royal Oaks UMC and has been a member of the church since she was a young girl. She is married with one daughter, three step children, four grandchildren, and two great grandchildren. Joyce has enjoyed playing the piano for over 34 years.
Lindsey Griffin – Children & Youth
Lindsey is the director of the children’s and youth ministries. She has been a member of the church since she was a young girl and is proud to say that she was married here and now attends the Royal Oaks UMC with her husband and two sons. Lindsey enjoys coordinating and helping with the children’s and youth ministries because she is able to see their love for God grow. You could say that Lindsey loves Royal Oaks UMC and its members just like family.
